BUILT FOR THE SANDBAR

At HammerHead Anchors, we only do one thing: build anchors for boaters who live for sandbar days. The HammerHead Anchor was engineered specifically for beach and shallow‑water use. Traditional anchors are heavy, awkward, hard to set, and often turn into tripping or toe‑stubbing hazards. HammerHead does the opposite — its auger design drives deep, locks in, and stays put. Whether it’s the HH3 beach anchor or the HH5 Surf Anchor, both deliver a solid mechanical hold. And with the HH5, the top stays visible above the waterline when it’s set, so you always know exactly where your anchor is. No buried hardware. No surprises. No stubbing your toes.

We built it to be simple, fast, and reliable — no guessing, no hammering, no fighting with your gear. Just torque it in, tie off, and enjoy the day.

Sandbar days should be stress‑free days. You handle the fun — your anchor should handle the rest.

Meet Dave, Our Founder

As a Maryland native, I grew up spending summers boating on the Chesapeake Bay, where being on the water was simply part of life. That love for boating never faded. Today, I’m a husband, a dad, and a contractor by trade — a hands‑on problem‑solver who spends every chance I get out on the boat with my family and friends.

After countless days at the sandbar readjusting our boat’s position because of wind and waves, I finally decided to fix the problem myself. I needed an anchor that was easy to use, solid, and built to hold — and one that wouldn’t turn into an underwater toe‑stubbing hazard.

So I built a prototype designed specifically for shallow water. The prototype worked so well that another boater immediately offered to buy it from me. That moment told me everything I needed to know: I wasn’t the only one who needed a better solution.

What started as a personal fix turned into a company. Today, we’re proud to sell our anchors across the country and abroad, helping boaters everywhere enjoy the sandbar the way it should be enjoyed — steady, secure, and stress‑free.

"The moment I saw the boats around me drifting just like mine, it became clear — this wasn’t just my problem. We set out to build an anchor that let people relax and enjoy the sandbar instead of constantly adjusting their position."

When Tough Isn’t Just a Claim — It’s the Build

In this toughness test, we push a HammerHead anchor far beyond anything it would ever experience on the water by applying the full weight of a truck that weighs 2½ tons directly onto it. The anchor takes the hit, holds its shape, and shows exactly how over‑built HammerHead really is for boaters who want gear that won’t quit.
